At Marcus & Marcus, we have dedicated over a decade to developing baby products that prioritize safety, functionality, and thoughtful innovation. When my son was two years old, he began learning to use chopsticks—an exciting milestone. However, I noticed that many chopsticks on the market lacked a crucial feature: an adjustable hinge or flexible support that could grow with a child's developing skills.
Drawing from our extensive experience in baby product design, we understand that each developmental stage is unique, and every detail matters. That’s why we set out to create a pair of training chopsticks that could adapt to a toddler’s needs while ensuring safety and comfort.
Personalized Support for Growing Skills
Our solution? Detachable, adjustable rings that serve as a learning aid. These rings can be positioned at different angles to help toddlers grip the chopsticks comfortably and confidently. By twisting the rings to the right angle, the chopsticks become easier to hold, encouraging independence and confidence in their new skill. As children become more proficient, they can gradually remove the rings, progressing from three rings to two, then to none—transforming into adult-ready chopsticks.
This modular design offers multiple benefits:

Prioritizing Safety and Material Selection
Safety is at the core of our product development. We carefully evaluated various materials—bamboo, stainless steel, and plastic. Bamboo and steel, while durable, lack the wide tips that make picking up food easier for little hands. Plastic, on the other hand, offered the right balance: lightweight, durable, and capable of wide, textured tips for easy food grasping.
During our research, we found that many plastics can stain easily from food and may contain harmful substances like melamine. After in-depth collaboration with a trusted PP (polypropylene) supplier, we ensured our chopsticks meet strict safety standards: BPA-free, phthalate-free, stain-resistant, high-temperature resistant, and free from melamine.

All Marcus & Marcus products are tested by third-party laboratories to meet European safety standards. Additionally, they carry the Children's Product Certificate (CPC) in the USA, ensuring they comply with all necessary safety regulations for children’s products.
